  • WHAT IS MERS?

    The MERS (Mortgage Electronic Registration System) is a private, third-party database system used to track servicing rights and ownership of mortgages in the United States. This system of registering the promissory note and mortgage was created to make transferring these documents easier on the secondary mortgage market.
